Floating damage is the possible damage output of an attack. While not written in skills description, every attack has a damage range that goes from 90% to 110% of expected value, which is named floating damage. (Ex.: a hero who hits 1000 damage will, without this astral, hit between 900 and 1100 damage. With a 15% floating damage(Ruthlessness lvl. 5) the range would be between 75% and 125%, therefore between 750 and 1250 damage.) It allows you to deal more damage with your attack but it also hinders your attacks.
NOTE: The astral DOES NOT increase your average damage done.
