Academy in Winter

Academy is a building where players can research one of twelve different technologies that provide bonuses for your character and your team of warriors. Researching works similarly to building upgrades, but uses a different resource and has a separate cooldown.

Before Patch 6.1, Technology Research had cooldown periods; these cooldown periods were removed in Patch 6.1. In addition, the Blessing Wheel was removed; in exchange, all technologies were modified to have 4 times the effect. See here for Pre-Patch 6.1 information.

Academy Technologies

Researching costs Kyanite. The first level of each technology costs 50 Kyanite, and each level after that costs [10*(tech level - 1)] more Kyanite than the last, so the formula is [(5*L^2) + (5*L) + 50], where L is the next technology level. The Academy level cannot be higher than your Town Hall level.

Tip: Try to have your corresponding attack (for Mages MATK and for Archers and Knights PATK) at same level as your character is... Next on what you should focus after attack is defence. Now if you are Mage focus on upgrading PDEF 1st (since Mages have higher MDEF), if you are Knight focus on upgrading MDEF first (since Knights have higher PDEF) now if you are Archer go with both defences at same time. After finishing with upgrading defence go with HP. After HP finish with gold production and upgrade rest of skills by your opinion.

Advanced Academy Blessing[]

Advanced Academy

At level 51, a second page of the Academy unlocks with a new skill. Additional skills unlock after that. The first level of each technology costs 250 Kyanite, and each level after that costs (50*(tech level - 1)) more Kyanite than the last, so the formula is [(25*L^2) - (25*L) + 250], where L is the next technology level. This holds true until level 70. From 71 to 80, The formula changes so that the next level requires [3,500 + (100*(L - 71))] more than the previous amount.

Academy needs to be level 60+ to unlock levels 21-40 of those skills, academy 70+ to unlock technology levels 41-60 and 80 to unlock technology levels 61-80.
